The biggest event in June each year is Trooping the colour. Her Majesty the Queen’s official birthday celebrations in London. The procession starts quite early in the morning at Buckingham palace. The British Army in full dress uniform the household division of the British Army escort the Royal family to horse guards parade. There is a parade for about two hours and then the procession heads back to Buckingham Palace.
The celebrations grand finally is a gun salute. So the horse drawn artillery canons are fired off in Green park. The Royal family make a public appearance on the balcony of Buckingham Palace. So there will be huge crowds at the palace hoping to see the British Royal family. Also the RAF will fly their favourite toys over the palace.
West End Live
West End live is another big London June event. A weekend long annual event held here in London’s Trafalgar Square. London is renowned for its theatre shows and live performance. So some of the best shows and performers currently on here in London will hit this stage instead of their own and do 10 to 20 minutes of their full show. Which means a day of uninterrupted phenomenal live performances. Then if you see a show you like you can get tickets for the full performance.
