Borough Market + jose pizarro + Lobos Tapas
Today I visit London’s world renowned Borough Market by London Bridge. I get the ingredients to make a dish in a Jose Pizarro cook book Basque. You can also check out the YouTube vlog of my visit here:
Every morning visit to Borough Market begins for me with some good coffee. Most visitors go too coffee shop is Monmouth coffee on Park Street. Monmouth serve coffee to enjoy in store or to go and beans both whole and ground to enjoy at home.
I thought today I would try the new kid on the block giving Monmouth a run for its money, Grind & Co. London Grind. London Grind is located in an old bank building at the end of London Bridge itself. Great location and also good coffee.
The choice of amazing quality food to take home or enjoy at Borough Market is so incredible. After my morning coffee I get some Oysters for breakfast. After Breakfast I begin my search for the ingredients for Sunday lunch and following a recipe from the new Jose Pizarro cook book.
I get some lunch at one of the Borough market restaurants Lobos Tapas. I try the pan con tomate, Padron peppers and also the Lobos burger which is the best burger I have found at Borough Market.
So after a snack at Brindisa I get a pint at the Globe Pub in Borough Market. I then make the Lamb shank dish following the Basque cook book recipe. I went on a Saturday so it has longer opening hours and shuts on Sunday.
Also check out my YouTube vlog above to see the recipe I followed from Jose Pizarro’s amazing new book, Basque Spanish Recipes from San Sebastian & Beyond.
