Today Bond Street Christmas Lights 2016 are switched on. I pay a visit to the famous London shopping destination after dark to take a look.
Also being launch night many of the famous Brands and stores are holding private in-store parties and events so there are some interesting things going on. Vintage cars are on display and the Salvation Army band are also performing.
Fenwick department store
Fenwick department store is a long established and popular store on London’s Bond Street. First opened in 1891 Fenwick of Bond Street are celebrating Christmas and 125 years. So to mark the occasion they are hosting the Salvation Army band and giving passers-by and visitors to the store tasty treats and samples of some of the food available in store.
Old Bond Street and New Bond Street
Bond Street seems like one long street but is in fact two streets, old Bond Street and New Bond Street. It runs between and connects Piccadilly and Oxford Street. The Piccadilly end is Old Bond street and the Oxford street end is New Bond Street.
Bond Street is renowned for Luxury. Because it is home to some of the world’s most prestigious luxury brands. So it attracts the wealthy, the famous and plenty of aspiring window shoppers. Art, Antiques, Fashion, Fine Jewellery, Gifts, Leather goods, tech and watches and just some of the items for sale.
The 2016 Christmas decorations and lights look inspired by peacock feathers. Spanning the width of the street they look incredible. Also Bond Street is home to some of the Worlds most renowned retailers. So expect some incredible festive window displays to be unveiled very soon too.
